AKS Legal Participates in Draft Law Preparation

Under the guidance of partners Kira Svintsova and Alexander Svintsov, and at the request of the National Association of Agricultural Insurers, the AKS Legal team took part in the preparation of a draft law, which has since been adopted and entered into force as Federal Law dated June 11, 2021 No. 177-FZ “On Amendments to the Federal Law ‘On State Support in the Field of Agricultural Insurance’ and on Amendments to the Federal Law ‘On the Development of Agriculture’”. The engagement of AKS Legal was related to the willingness to use our experience in the field of agricultural insurance and litigation. Many of the wordings proposed by AKS Legal are reflected in the adopted Law No. 177-FZ. The law is of key importance for the development of agricultural insurance in the Russian Federation, since it introduces a new institution, i.e. agricultural insurance with state support in case of an emergency.
