AKS Legal Shared Its Experience in Resolving Disputes out of a Business Interruption (BI) Insurance Agreement at Claims & Pays 2024

AKS Legal participated as a partner in the annual conference “Claims & Pays 2024. Settlement of Losses in Insurance” that took place on 23 April 2024 and was arranged by “Insurance Today” Media and Information Group and the Russian National Union of Insurers.

The AKS Legal team was actively engaged in the operations of conference’s panel sessions.

Head of Insurance Law Practice, Ruslan Kozhevnikov, presented the specifics of settlement of losses and resolution of disputes under business interruption (BI) insurance agreements.

While disputes arising from business interruption (BI) insurance agreements have historically been uncommon, their frequency is on the rise.

BI agreement-based cases involving large claim amounts require an integrated approach to fact finding: the subject matter of BI agreement covers a long list of various expense types, each one of which needs to be proven / disproven separately.
